[for Steve and Tony]

Rapture has its charms, but this, Thor thinks, is the sort of battle he has craved all these months. His regular day for fishing has been interrupted by a beast the likes of which he has never seen, sporting the many arms of a squid and yet the head of a shark, and it is with hammer and spear in hand that he greets the monster. Soaring into the sky with aid from his belt, he flies just out of reach from one of its tentacled limbs, and barks out a delighted laugh.

"I am too quick for you, stupid creature!" he crows, flying higher still. "Perhaps in the water, you would stand a chance, but in the--"

The word air goes unsaid, stolen from him as an unseen arm strikes him from behind and sends him barrelling towards the ground.

Perhaps this will prove a bigger challenge than Thor thought.

He managed to make do without resources, he thought, but having to trek back to his half-finished house to get the suit every time something went down was... problematic. He'd been working on it. There was only so much he could work on it. Nothing to be done for it today but arrive a little late, but that was okay, that was traditional. He was the cavalry and there looked to be enough chaos to go around.

Including Thor getting swiped. Tony opened up the jets and intercepted him, before he hit.

"Tag," he said, letting go - the belt could fly, he figured Thor didn't need him setting him gently on the ground, just stopping him from smashing into the ground was the thing - and twisting to open up with both repulsors on the-

Well, that was a shark octopus hybrid. Okay. Fine. He could deal with that.

-on the, well, on the sharktopus. It swayed backwards-

-and another tentacle whipped up, around his leg, and whipped him into the ground.

From day one, I've traditionally been embroiled in stressful events. Logistical messiness is what I cut my teeth on, and things hardly became simpler when I joined the Avengers. That said, there's only so much outlandish crap I can accept from this island without losing my patience.

Coming upon Thor and Tony in conflict with a highly unlikely sea creature is enough to get me a bit peeved, if I'm honest.

"Where the hell did that come from?" I abandon my trajectory of running over to make sure Tony's okay in favor of dodging a tentacle that comes whipping around as the.... shark-like animal's attention tracks from Thor to me. I have a sidearm but not the shield, and until we know its weak points firing off rounds indiscriminately won't help. So I move, trying to keep its attention also moving, away from the heavy hitters while they regroup.

"Does it count as hunting or fishing?" Tony said, raising a fist and sending a small rocket to follow Thor's spear. The explosion... does about as much as the spear, honestly, he'd been expecting better things. "Follow-up question, did anyone bring a fishing pole the size of a tree and a small dog for bait?"
